INTRODUCING REGIONAL SUB-COMMITTEES
The Regional Committees are Sub-Committees of Membership. With support from the other PMAWM Committees, Board of Directors and staff, the groups focus on industry needs specific to the the area (such as Greater Kalamazoo, Northern Michigan or the Lake-Shore). This includes: desired educational sessions and certification programs, networking opportunities and events, membership recruitment and retention strategies, local legislative advocacy and industry PR. As each group develops, it will also be tasked with creating the vision for any desired internal and external marketing materials. Members of the regional sub-committees are considered ambassador advocates for the association, and industry leaders within their region and beyond.
As required of all PMAWM Committees, The Regional Sub-Committees must:
Regional Sub-Committees are members-only groups and are recommended to have a minimum of three (3) Property Professionals and a minimum of two (2) Supplier Partners who service the industry on each sub-committee. However, the sub-committees must always maintain more property professionals than supplier partners. At least one member must be assigned Chair, and co-chairs are allowed.
The Regional Sub-Committees must meet quarterly at a minimum. The groups may determine to meet more depending on the needs of the area.
PARTICIPATION: We understand things come up but please make a commitment to attend all or the majority of the meetings ones determined by the group. Two missed meetings without notification/reasoning to the association and/or committee chair will result in being removed from the committee. participation on the Regional Sub-Committees is optional, and members may choose to remove themselves from the group at any time.
